Keeping Gaming Within Limits
Treat gaming as optional entertainment with a fixed cost and time allowance. It should never take priority over everyday needs or responsibilities.
Decide what you can afford to lose before a session and stop at that limit. Do not use borrowed money, essential household funds or further deposits to try to recover losses.
Pay attention to changes in sleep, mood, relationships and spending. Step away if play starts to feel compulsory or becomes difficult to control.
Where available, use account limits, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion. Involve someone you trust if you need help following through with a break. Only eligible adults should participate.
